Colorado Cello offers private lessons for students of all ages and abilities: from beginners to advanced, 7 years old to 70+. Lessons are rooted in the study of classical music, but other styles ranging from pop to jazz can be integrated according to the interests of the student.<\/p>\n

I offer all prospective students a free session. This allows us to meet, discuss your goals for lessons, and gives you a chance to evaluate my teaching style without the pressure to make an immediate commitment. These sessions generally last 30-45 minutes, depending on the age and expertise of the student.<\/p>\n

Rates and Locations
<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Lessons are available Monday through Friday, and are offered in Boulder and Louisville. Please contact me for more information on specific openings.<\/p>\n

Rates<\/strong>: I primarily offer lessons on a four-month semester basis. Students pay tuition for a set number of lessons during that period. You are expected to commit to your designated day and time for the duration of the semester, and while I do my best to accommodate changes please note that I have very limited openings.

2025\/2026 tuition for 15 lessons, fall and spring semesters<\/span>:<\/p>\n

  • 30 minute lessons: $165\/month, or $625 if paid in full.<\/li>\n
  • 45 minute lessons: $235\/month, or $890 if paid in full.<\/li>\n
  • 60 minute lessons: $310\/month, or $1180 if paid in full.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Ala-carte lessons are available on a very limited basis. Please contact me for more information.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rates are: $45\/30 minutes, $65\/45 minutes, $85\/60 minutes.<\/p>\n

    • Beginners: 30 minute lessons.<\/li>\n
    • Intermediate students and adult beginners: 45 minute lessons.<\/li>\n
    • Motivated intermediate players and advanced students: 60 minute lessons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Lesson Topics<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      All lessons are structured for the individual student- I do not follow a set, regimented program. Everyone has their own unique strengths, needs, and interests; therefore I believe that more than one approach is needed for teaching more than one student! I focus on teaching students how to use their bodies in the most efficient and natural way possible, so that your playing is beautiful and effortless. Other possible topics include:<\/p>\n
