Rates -- for 2009/2010 school year Most beginners will be best - suited for 30 minute lessons. Intermediate and beginners with prior musical experience will do well with 45 minute lessons, and mature intermediate and advanced students will do well with 60 minute lessons. *mention my website when contacting me and get your first lesson free of charge! One free lesson per family, please. Lesson Locations Lessons are currently available in Boulder and Louisville, Sunday through Thursday. Please contact me for more details on specific locations and available times. Lesson Requirements All students are required to have their own instrument. If a prospective student needs to rent or purchase an instrument, I can make recommendations on where to acquire one. Other requirements may include, but are not limited to, a music stand, appropriate music, metronome, tuner, and endpin strap/slip stop. Lesson Topics All lessons are structured for the individual student- I do not follow a set, regimented program. Everyone has their own unique strengths, needs, and interests; therefore I believe that more than one approach is needed for teaching more than one student. All students will be encouraged to use their bodies in the most efficient and natural way possible, so that your playing is both effortless and powerful. Other possible topics include:
